Investec Wordwide trailing its competitors - Media Comment07 Sep 2001
The Investec Worldwide Fund are doing worse than many of its counterparts in the Foreign--General--Equity sector. The fund is even underperforming the MSCI index. According to the fund manager, the fund is underperforming due to the high international exposure. The fund is currently not exposed to any SA equity of bond. The fund is currently underweight equities relative to cash with 55% exposure to the US, 35% to Europe and 8% to the Far East.

Due to the recent changes in the budget speech in respect of asset swap capacity and as a result of increased demand for the Investec Worldwide Fund, the Manco regret to announce the closure of the fund to new business with immediate effect. Existing debit orders will continue as before.
