During the quarter to end of September the fund outperformed the JSE All Share index due to the high cash weighting and low equity weighting, the fund returned (6.2)% while the JSE All Share index returned (11.2)%. The fund will be focussing on shares with large market capitalisation and holdings of those shares that fell outside the ALSI40 will be sold.
