Mandate Overview14 Nov 2022
The Satrix Global Aggregate Bond ETF is an index tracking fund registered as a Collective Investment Scheme, and is listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange as an Exchange Traded Fund. The mandate of the Satrix Global Aggregate Bond Portfolio ("Satrix Global Aggregate Bond ETF") is to track, as closely as possible, the value of the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bond Index in ZAR.
The Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bond index offers direct investments in global government, government-related, corporate and securitised bonds that are of investment-grade quality or better, have at least one year to maturity and have an outstanding par value of at least $100 million.
The securities represented in the index are weighted according to the market size of each bond type. To replicate the index performance the Satrix Global Aggregate Bond ETF invests in the iShares Core Global Aggregate Bond UCITS ETF (the underlying fund).
The investment objective of the underlying fund is to provide investors with a total return, considering both capital and income returns, which reflects the return of the Bloomberg Global Aggregate Bond Index. Investors should note that the performance of the Satrix Global Aggregate Bond ETF relative to its benchmark may be affected on a day to day basis as a result of transactions, exchange rates and differing pricing points.
