The index uses global free floats in the weighting of its constituents, thereby offering a rand hedge alternative to local equity indices with a higher proportion of earnings from offshore. It provides investors with the price performance of FTSE/JSE Global Investor Index as well as pays out, on a quarterly basis, all dividends received from companies comprising the index, net of cost.
